Why We Are the Best Pay Per Lead Company for Services Businesses
For owners comparing lead companies after paying for enquiries that four competitors also bought. Here is how we run performance pay per lead, the standard we think "best" should mean, and the questions to ask every seller, us included.
“Bottom line is if you want real results, then we are here to become your online business partner.”
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Since 2009. Performance pay per lead marketing for services companies has been part of our work from that year on.
- A marketing agency behind every lead. The people who build local search and paid search campaigns are the people producing your enquiries.
- The terms come before the leads. Exclusivity, area, disputes and billing are written down before you buy the first one.

Start here.
Every lead company calls itself the best. A claim like that only helps you if you can check it. So instead of telling you we are the best pay per lead company, this page sets out what we think "best" should mean, how we measure up against it, and the questions you should put to every seller you talk to, including us.
02Pay Per Lead Services
Since 2009, and built for services companies
We have been doing performance pay per lead marketing for all types of services companies since 2009. That is the whole of the claim, and we would rather you hold us to it than to anything bigger.
What it means in practice is that we have watched the industry from the seller's side for a long time. We have seen what makes buyers quit: leads sold several times over, numbers that ring out, enquiries from towns the buyer never serves, and sellers who will not credit any of it. Most of what we do differently comes from those complaints.
What it does not mean is a lead count, a client list or a conversion rate printed on this page. We don't publish numbers we haven't measured, and we do not publish buyers' names without their say-so. Get Found itself has been publishing on this domain since 2012, and our founder, David Scarpitta, was born and raised on Long Island and started an early tech and ecommerce company in the late 90s. You can see who is behind the work on our team page.
Ask us anything about how long we have done this and what we have learned; the answers are more useful than any badge.
03Pay Per Lead Services
"Best" should be measured on five things, and price is not one of them
Price per lead is the easiest number to compare and the least useful. A cheap lead you never reach, or lose to a faster competitor, is the most expensive lead you can buy. These are the five things we think actually separate lead sellers.
Exclusivity
Is each lead sold to you alone, or to you and several others? Everything else on this list matters less if the answer is "several".
Source
Where did the lead come from? A seller that runs its own campaigns knows which search, which page and which form produced it. A seller reselling traffic from other networks often does not.
Screening
Is the enquiry checked against your area, your job types and basic signs of a real person before it is sent, or is it forwarded raw and left for you to sort out?
Disputes
Is there a written rule for what counts as a bad lead, how long you have to flag one, and what happens when you do? If the rule is not written down before you buy, assume it does not exist.
Control
Can you set the area, the job types, the hours and the volume, and change them when your business changes? A good seller fits the leads around your capacity rather than its own sales target.
The five, side by side
| Test | What a weak seller does | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Exclusivity | Sells one enquiry to several buyers | One lead, one buyer, stated in writing |
| Source | Resells traffic it cannot trace | Runs its own campaigns and can say where a lead came from |
| Screening | Forwards every form raw | Checks area, job type and duplicates before sending |
| Disputes | Decides case by case, usually against you | A written rule and a set window, agreed before you buy |
| Control | Sells a package volume | Area, job types, hours and volume set by you |
None of those tests needs a sales pitch to answer. A seller who meets all five can say so in one sentence each, and one who needs a long explanation for any of them is usually telling you the answer is no.
Run those five past us on a call and judge our answers against anyone else's.
04Pay Per Lead Services
We run the marketing ourselves, so we can tell you where a lead came from
The most important difference between us and a lead network is that we are a marketing agency first. We sell local search work, reputation management, websites and paid search campaign management as services in their own right, to businesses that want to own the asset.
Pay per lead uses that same work, sold on a different basis. For a trade in a county, we build and pay for the campaigns, and the buyer pays for the qualified enquiries they produce. Because we built the campaign, we know what was searched, which page the person landed on and what they asked for. That is what makes screening possible and disputes checkable.
It also means we notice when something is off before you do. If enquiries for a trade in a county start drifting outside the buyer's area, or a form starts attracting job seekers instead of customers, that is a campaign problem we can fix at the source rather than a stream of disputes you have to file. The full mechanics are on our pay per lead services page.
Being an agency also means we can tell you when buying leads is the wrong answer. A business that wants a search presence it owns outright, rankings and a Google listing that keep working after the invoices stop, is better served by our local SEO work than by paying per enquiry forever. We sell both, so we have no reason to push you into the one that suits us. The pay for results marketing overview sets the options side by side.
If you want to know where your current leads actually come from and your seller cannot tell you, talk to us about running the source yourself.
05Pay Per Lead Services
Ask every lead company these questions, including us
Take this list into every sales call. A seller worth buying from will answer each one plainly and put the answers in writing.
- Is each lead sold to me only? Ours are. A lead we send you is not sent to anyone else.
- Can I hold my trade in my county exclusively? We answer that county by county; it is separate from each lead being exclusive.
- Where do the leads come from? From campaigns we build and run for your trade in your county.
- What is screened out before I see a lead? Anything outside the area, the job types and the hours you set, plus duplicates and obvious junk.
- What counts as a bad lead, and how do I dispute one? Written down before you start. The dispute window is being finalised.
- What do I pay, how often, and is there a minimum? Set per trade and county before the first lead. Our rate card and billing terms are being finalised.
- How do I stop? The notice terms are written into the agreement and are being finalised.
Where our answer above says "being finalised", that is the honest state of the published terms today. Every buyer gets those answers in writing before they pay for anything.
Send us your current lead seller's terms and we will go through them with you line by line, whether or not you switch.
06Pay Per Lead Services
What we will not do
A lot of the trust in this business is lost by sellers doing things buyers never agreed to. We hold these lines with every buyer.
- We will not resell your lead. Each enquiry goes to one buyer and stays with them.
- We will not bill a lead outside your rules. If it fails the area, job type or duplicate check, it is not yours to pay for.
- We will not push volume you cannot handle. Leads you cannot call back in time waste your money and the customer's patience.
- We will not invent results. You will find no made-up lead counts, conversion rates or cost per lead figures on this site.
- We will not name you without asking. Your business is not a logo on our website unless you want it to be.
That last point is why our published success stories show design and marketing work rather than lead buyers. The buyers who want to talk to a prospect about us can, when they choose to.
If a seller has broken one of these lines with you before, tell us which one, and we will show you how our terms stop it happening.
07Pay Per Lead Services
Leads, calls or both: choosing the right model
The best pay per lead company will sometimes tell you to buy something else. Some trades are won on the phone rather than through a form. A locksmith, an emergency plumber or an HVAC company in the first heat of summer is usually better served by exclusive pay per call, where you pay for a live caller who connects and stays on the line.
Quoted and scheduled work is different. Roofing, painting, remodels and property management are usually decided over days or weeks, and an enquiry with the right details attached is worth more than a quick call. Our page on leads for home service trades goes through each of the nine trades on our county pages and what a good lead looks like for each.
Many buyers end up using both, with calls covering the urgent work and leads covering the planned jobs. That is a perfectly sensible setup, and the billing rules for each are kept separate so you always know what you paid for.
Tell us which jobs you make the most money on, and we will tell you whether leads, calls or both would bring you more of them.
08Pay Per Lead Services
How to start
Getting started takes a conversation with us rather than a form full of fine print. Bring what you know about your own business and we will bring what we know about your trade and your county.
- Your trade and service area. The cities, ZIP codes or radius you actually cover.
- The jobs you want. And the ones you never want to see a lead for.
- Your hours and capacity. When leads can be called back, and how many new jobs a week you can take.
- Your current numbers, if you have them. What you pay per lead now, and roughly how many it takes to book a job.
From there, we will tell you honestly whether pay per lead makes sense for you in your county, what the terms would be, and how we would run it. If the answer is that it does not make sense yet, you will hear that too.

What we would measure for your business.
Get these lines filled in for your business. It takes what you sell, where, and your site.
10Pay Per Lead Services
The questions that come up every time.
How do I find the best pay per lead company for my business?
Ignore the price per lead at first and ask five questions. Is each lead sold to me alone? Where does it come from? How is it screened before I get it? What is the written rule for disputing a bad one? Is the volume set around what I can handle? A company that answers all five clearly, in writing, before you buy, is worth comparing on price. One that dodges any of them will cost more than its price suggests, however low that price looks.
Why do exclusive leads cost more than shared leads?
Because one buyer pays for the marketing behind the lead instead of several. A shared lead is the same homeowner sold to a handful of businesses at once, so each sale recovers only part of the cost. The catch is that every one of those buyers then competes for the same customer, usually on speed and price. Compare the two on cost per booked job rather than cost per lead, and the cheaper lead often turns out to be the more expensive one.
Are you a lead network or a marketing agency?
A marketing agency. Get Found has been publishing since 2012 and sells local SEO, paid search management, reputation work and websites as services in their own right. Pay per lead is the same craft sold a different way: we build and pay for the campaigns for a trade in a county, and the buyer pays per qualified enquiry. That is why we can tell you where a lead came from, which a reseller of other networks' traffic often cannot.
Can you name clients who buy leads from you?
Not on this page. We do not publish lead buyers' names, lead counts or results without their permission, and we will not print numbers we have not measured. If you want to talk to a current buyer before you commit, ask, and we will see who is willing. Our success stories page shows the design and marketing work we are able to publish, which gives you a sense of how we work even where the lead buyers themselves stay private.
What happens if the leads do not work for me?
First, we find out why, because the answer is usually specific. Leads that are bad under the written rules are disputed and not charged. Leads that are real but not converting usually point to something fixable: a slow callback, an area that is too wide, a job type that should have been excluded, or a price point that does not suit the county. If the numbers still do not work after that, we will say so, and the contract terms decide how you stop. Those terms are pending until published.
Do you work outside the six states on your county pages?
The county pages cover the major counties of California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Florida and New York, because those are the states the program starts in. Performance pay per lead is not limited to those pages, and the nine trades on them are not the only services we market. If you are in a different state or a different trade, ask. The answer depends on demand in your area and what a lead there would cost to produce.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
