Pay for Results Marketing: Pay for the Lead or the Call, Not the Month

For services companies that would rather pay for a customer enquiry than for a month of marketing activity. We run the marketing for your trade in your county, and you pay per qualified lead or per connected call.

“Your Success, means Our Success”

Ask about results in your county

No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.

  • You pay for the outcome. You are billed on a qualified lead or a connected call rather than on hours, clicks or a retainer.
  • One buyer per enquiry. A lead or a call goes to one business and is never shared with a list of competitors racing to phone the same customer.
  • Nine trades, six states. County pages for the major counties of California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Florida and New York.

01Pay for Results Marketing

Start here.

Most marketing is sold by the month. You pay for the work, the work happens, and whether the phone rings is your problem. Pay for Results Marketing turns that around: we run the marketing for your trade in your county, and you pay for what it produces, one qualified lead or one connected call at a time.

A retainer bills for effort; this bills for customers

A retainer is a fair deal when you are building something you will own, and we sell plenty of them. But a plumber with two vans does not want a marketing project. The plumber wants next Tuesday's schedule full. Paying for results moves the risk of a campaign not working off your side of the table and onto ours.

That changes what we care about. Traffic, rankings and impressions only matter to us if they turn into enquiries a business will pay for, because those enquiries are the only thing we get paid on. If the campaign for your trade in your county produces nothing in a given week, there is nothing to bill.

To be honest about the trade-off, paying per result is not automatically cheaper. Each lead or call carries the cost of the marketing behind it and the risk we take that it does not work. What you buy is certainty about what a customer costs you, and whether that is a good deal depends on what a customer is worth to you. Prices are set by trade and county, and we have not published them yet.

Tell us your trade, your county and what a new customer is worth to you, and we will tell you plainly whether paying per result makes sense for your business.

Pay Per Lead Services: you pay for a qualified enquiry

A lead is a person with a job you can do. It carries a name, a way to reach them, where the job is and what they need, and it is sent to one business: you. You pay per lead, rather than per click or per month. Our pay per lead services page walks through how an enquiry is produced, screened and delivered.

A lead that is not a lead gets disputed. Wrong numbers, requests from outside the area you cover, jobs you told us you do not do and duplicates are not billable, and the dispute rule is written down before you buy the first one.

Pay per lead suits work that is quoted and scheduled: a re-roof, an exterior repaint, a kitchen remodel, a landlord looking for a manager. If you are comparing lead sellers, read what to ask any pay per lead company first, and if you run a trade business, the home services lead program goes trade by trade.

If you are buying shared leads today and losing the race to the phone, ask us what the same enquiries look like when they come to you alone.

Pay Per Call Marketing: you pay when the customer is on the line

Some customers do not fill in forms. A family locked out at nine at night, or a homeowner watching water come through the ceiling, picks up the phone and calls the first business that looks right. We offer Exclusive Pay Per Call Marketing for exactly those moments.

We run the marketing, the call is routed live to your line, and you pay only when it connects and lasts past an agreed minimum length. Exclusive means one call, one client: the caller is not sold on to a competitor or rung through to three companies at once. The pay per call marketing program explains what counts as a billable call and what never should.

When a retainer is still the better deal

Pay per result stops when you stop paying. A retainer builds something you keep. Rankings, a properly built Google listing and a website that converts keep producing after the invoice ends, which is why our local SEO program and our CPC and PPC management are still sold the traditional way.

Model You pay for Who carries a quiet month What you own when it stops
Pay per lead Each qualified enquiry Us The customers you won
Pay per call Each connected call past the minimum Us The customers you won
Retainer (SEO or ads) The work and the ad spend You Rankings, listings, ad account, data

Plenty of businesses run both: paid results to fill the schedule now, and SEO building the asset underneath. Ecommerce brands have their own version of the idea, our commission only marketing for select brands, built on "Free Online Marketing First" and then "Grow Together Later".

How the county pages work

We publish a page for each trade in each major county we cover, in the format "Pay Per Lead Services in Los Angeles County, CA for Locksmiths", with a matching pay per call page. Nine trades across 64 counties in six states: California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Florida and New York.

Each county page is written for the business owner, not the homeowner. It explains what demand for that trade looks like in that county, how the trade is licensed in that state, and what a good and a wasted lead look like. Behind the page, we run the marketing for that trade in that county and route the leads or calls to the business that takes them.

Those nine trades came first, and other trades can be run the same way. Our list of trades ends with "and many more", and we mean it.

Talk to us

If your county or trade is not on a page yet, ask anyway; the answer is usually a short conversation, not a no.

What to have ready when you get in touch

You will get a straighter answer faster if you know a few things about your own business before the first conversation. None of it needs to be perfect.

  • Your service area. The cities, ZIP codes or drive radius you actually cover.
  • The jobs you want and the jobs you do not. So nothing outside them is ever billed.
  • When someone answers the phone. Hours, weekends and after-hours cover.
  • Your capacity. How many new jobs a week you can take without letting a customer wait.
  • What a customer is worth. The first job and the repeat work it brings.

We have run performance pay per lead marketing since 2009, and the most useful thing we can tell a new buyer is often that the numbers do not work yet. We would rather say that on the first call than after your first invoice.

10Pay for Results Marketing

The questions that come up every time.

What is pay for results marketing?

It is marketing you pay for by the outcome rather than by the month. Instead of a retainer for work that may or may not produce customers, you pay for a specific result: a qualified lead, meaning a real enquiry from someone who needs your service in your area, or a live phone call that connects and lasts long enough to be a real conversation. We run and pay for the marketing that produces those results. If a campaign in your county has a quiet week, you are not billed for the quiet.

Is paying per lead cheaper than hiring a marketing agency?

Not always, and anyone who says otherwise is selling. Each lead or call carries the cost of the marketing behind it plus the risk we take that the campaign does not work, so the price per result is higher than the raw cost of a click. What you save is the months of paying for activity that never turned into customers. Whether that trade is a good one depends on what a customer is worth to you, which is the first thing we ask.

What is the difference between pay per lead and pay per call?

A lead is an enquiry: a name, a way to reach the person, where the job is and what they need, sent to you to follow up. A call is the customer on the phone with you, live, right now. Leads suit work that is quoted and scheduled, like roofing or painting. Calls suit work that is needed today, like a lockout or a burst pipe. Many businesses use both, and the pages for each explain the billing rules.

What happens if I am sent a bad lead?

You dispute it. A wrong number, a request from outside the area you cover, a job you told us you do not do, or a duplicate of an enquiry you already received is not a lead, and it should not be billed. The dispute window and the way a credit is applied are written into the terms before you start. Those terms are being finalised and appear on this page as pending until they are published.

Do you sell the same lead to other companies?

No. A lead we send you goes to you, and a call we route to you rings your line only. That is the whole point of paying more per result than a shared lead costs. The resold-lead market, where one homeowner's request is sold to four or five businesses at once, is the reason pay per lead has a poor name with a lot of contractors, and it is the model we do not run.

Which areas and trades do you cover?

County pages exist for nine home service trades (locksmiths, roofers, HVAC and air conditioning companies, plumbers, mobile mechanics, painters, general contractors, exterminators and pest control, and property management companies) in the major counties of California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Florida and New York. That list is only the starting set of county pages. If your trade or county is not listed, ask anyway and we will tell you plainly whether we can run it.
