Search visibility scorecard — publishing search advice since 2012 Direct line 1-323-505-6622
You Found Us!

The people who mark the card

Five people, named, with the work each of them actually does. Our founders have been on all sides of business, from brick and mortar to full online development and engagement — and when you call, you get one of them, not a switchboard.

Your business, treated as our business.

  • Publishing search advice since 27 January 2012. That is the date of our first post, and it is the only “years in business” claim on this page.
  • Get Found started on Long Island. Founder David Scarpitta started an early stage tech and e-commerce company in the late 90’s, and Long Island is where this one started.
  • No stock photography, and no stock people. There are no headshots on this page because we do not have any. We would rather show you a blank frame than somebody else’s face.

CARD 01The five

Five people, and no job too big or too small.

These bios come from our own team page in our own words. We have kept the character and taken out the arithmetic: the original was written in January 2014 and counted years from there, so the numbers it quoted no longer mean what they meant. Where a claim depended on a date, it has gone.

David Scarpitta

Chief Creative Officer

A serial entrepreneur, and a web marketing and development guru. Dave’s first foray into the digital connectivity world was through playing BBS (Bulletin Board System) games and chat on a 14.4 dial-up modem. Since then his passion for sales, business and new technology is the driving force behind Get Found Online Marketing. He started an early stage tech and e-commerce company in the late 90’s, and you can connect with him daily on a multitude of sites and platforms.

NO HEADSHOT ON FILE TITLE SPELLED TWO WAYS — CONFIRM

Andres

Architect Implementer

Great ideas come from great minds, but great code comes from great minds and a lot of coffee. Andres has a foothold on all of the above. With every great idea deployed by our team, he sees it through that it is built to specification, and both you and the internet will be happy.

NO HEADSHOT ON FILE SURNAME NEVER PUBLISHED

NO HEADSHOT ON FILE YEARS CLAIM REMOVED — RESTATE?

Dan Monaghan

Experience Before The Internet

Dan is truly the epitome of “experience” in the digital world. From the days before WordPress, Dan constructed easy to use CMS’s before the term was even coined. Between cyber security, development and analyst detail, you would be hard pressed to find a better battle hardened digital veteran.

NO HEADSHOT ON FILE YEARS CLAIM REMOVED — RESTATE?

Anyone else?

Slot held open

This frame is deliberately empty. The roster above is the one our own site has published since 2012, and nobody has been added to it in twelve years. If the team has grown — consultants, writers, developers, account people — this is where they go, and the page is built to take them.

IS THE ROSTER STILL ACCURATE?
Next step

You will be dealing with these people, so start by talking to one of them. The number is answered by the desk, not an answering service.

CARD 02Where this came from

Born and raised on Long Island, publishing since 2012.

This is the record, dated, taken from our own site rather than from a brand story. Some of those dates are not flattering — the gap between 2018 and now is the reason this redesign exists — and leaving them out would be the sort of thing our own guide warns buyers about.

The voice, kept on purpose

“It’s a Big Internet. You’ve Got To Stand Out.” · “We believe in the best Traffic is Free Traffic.” · “Full Service means Full Service.” · “Your Success, means Our Success.” · “Be Social. Be Exciting!” — these are ours, they have been in market for years, and they are staying. A rewrite that flattened them into agency boilerplate would have thrown away the one thing on the site that sounds like a person.

Next step

The clearest picture of how we think is the writing itself — fifteen guides, oldest 2012, all free to read.

CARD 03Mark us

We published the rules for hiring an agency. Use them on us.

In February 2016 we wrote a guide to finding the best SEO marketing companies: five rules, no frills, written to help a buyer weed through the nonsense. It would be a strange thing to publish and then hope nobody applied it here. So this card is the one place on the site where the subject being graded is us — and the grade is blank, because it is yours to fill in.

Card 03 · Agency scorecard

Get Found Marketing, marked against its own guide

EMPTY — YOU MARK IT
?
Your grade for us We are not going to award ourselves an A

An agency that prints its own glowing score has measured nothing. Ask the five questions below on the phone, mark each one yourself, and keep the card.

FA
The five rules, from our own 2016 guide UNSCORED
1 · Do not hire an overseas SEO company “Right in form, but not in function. Mis-communication can lead to mis-representation.” Ask where the people doing the work actually sit. unscored –
2 · Do not hire the cheapest company “It may be cheap and easy, but it certainly isn’t good.” Ask what the program costs and what it buys — and expect a straight answer. unscored –
3 · Do not hire anyone who cannot give you monthly reporting Keyword rankings, new customer keywords, traffic analytics, and a comparison against your real competitors. Ask to see last month’s. unscored –
4 · Insist on a dedicated, knowledgeable consultant “Finding someone that isn’t just an SEO salesman is different from a real project manager.” Ask to speak to the person handling your account. Our number is on every page of this site. unscored –
5 · Walk away from anyone promising a Google ranking position “SEO Companies don’t work for Google.” Over 150 factors influence page one. Nobody honest guarantees a position, and we do not. unscored –
Source: our own guide — Guide to Finding The Best SEO Marketing Companies, published 1 February 2016. Rule 3 describes the reporting a buyer should demand; the exact reporting pack we hand over needs confirming before we state it as a promise.
  • What we will say we can do. Work harder to make you more visible in all search engines. Give you incremental results from your program. Find your best customers and target more of them. Those three sentences are lifted from our own guide, and they are deliberately modest.
  • What we will not say. No guaranteed position, no client count we cannot evidence, no star ratings, no logos we cannot substantiate. This whole design is built so the first number you ever see from us is about your site, not about us.
  • Rule 4, in practice. One direct line, 1-323-505-6622, printed in the bar at the top of every page. Call it and ask any of the five questions above before you spend anything.

CARD 04Who you talk to

One number, answered by the people on this page.

You found us; now let us help people find you. Here is every way to reach us that we can stand behind today — and, below it, every contact detail that is missing and needs to come from you before this page can launch.

Confirmed and live

The direct line

This is the number on the live site’s click-to-call, the number in the top bar of this page, and the number in the footer. It is the same one in all three places, which is the whole point: a business with one published number is a business you can actually reach.

Call 1-323-505-6622

Prefer to put it in writing? The contact form is on the contact page, and the services index is at online marketing services.

Four local markets are published: California, Florida, Las Vegas and Long Island — see SEO companies near me. The street addresses are held back on this page on purpose; the reason is in the panel beside this one.

CARD 05From David

Signed, by a person.

This sign-off has been at the bottom of our own pages since 2014 and it is staying. Most agency sites do not have one, and that is exactly why it is worth keeping.

The full letter, in David’s own words, is still where he first published it in 2014: on the Full Service Online Marketing Agency page. In short, he promises personal attention for every client, treats each business as his own, and thanks you for finding us.

Best to Our Digital World,

David Scarpitta Chief Creative Officer & Your Partner @ Get Found Marketing
One title, two spellings

Both are on the live site today.

  • On the team pageCreative
  • On the full service sign-offCreating
This page uses “Creative” in both places so it at least agrees with itself. If “Creating Officer” was the joke all along, say so and it goes back — it is a better line than the correction.

The roster is deliberately absent from this page’s structured data. Names and titles are printed above with a visible confirmation flag, but schema cannot carry a flag — it asserts facts to search engines. Until the five are confirmed, the machine-readable block states only what we are certain of: the business name, the phone number and 2012.

You have read who we are. The next thing worth knowing is where your own site stands — that part is free.
