Pay Per Lead for Home Services: Nine Trades, County by County

For locksmiths, roofers, HVAC companies, plumbers and the other home service trades that live on local demand. We run the marketing for your trade in your county and send each screened enquiry to you alone.

“We offer pay for lead services for an array of home services providers”

Ask about leads for your trade

No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.

  • Nine trades, each screened its own way. A lockout and a kitchen remodel need different questions answered before either one counts as a lead.
  • Your county, your service area. Leads are sent by where the job is, inside the area you tell us you cover.
  • Exclusive to you. The roof leak in your ZIP code does not also go to four other roofers.

01Pay Per Lead Services

Start here.

Home service work is local, urgent and won by whoever the customer reaches first. Pay per lead for home services works when the lead fits the trade, and a lead that suits a roofer would be useless to a locksmith. This page goes trade by trade through what a good enquiry looks like, what a wasted one looks like, and how we keep the second kind off your bill.

02Pay Per Lead Services

Home services are bought in a hurry, and bought locally

Nobody shops for a plumber on a quiet Sunday afternoon for fun. A home service customer usually has a problem now, and the only question is how long "now" lasts. For a lockout it is minutes. For a new roof it might be a month.

Trade How fast the customer needs you
Locksmiths Minutes
Plumbers Hours
HVAC & Air Conditioning Companies Hours in season, days out of season
Mobile mechanics Same day
Exterminators & Pest Control Days
Roofers Days
Painters Weeks
Property Management Companies Weeks
General contractors Weeks to months

The season matters as much as the speed. Air conditioning calls bunch up in the first hot weeks of the year, roofing enquiries follow storms, and pest calls follow the warm months. A lead program that sends the same volume every month ignores how your trade actually works, so volume and price are planned month by month around the season in your county rather than fixed once for the year.

That timing decides almost everything else: how fast you have to call back, whether a lead or a live call is the better product, and how much screening a lead can carry before it goes stale. It also decides where the work is. Every one of these trades is bought within a short drive, which is why our program is built county by county.

Nine trades, nine different leads

These are the nine trades the program is built around, each with its own county index. The mechanics are the same for all of them, but each trade has its own idea of a good lead.

Locksmiths

Locksmith work is lockouts at a front door, a car or an office, usually after hours, plus lock changes after a move-in, a break-in or a tenant turnover, and rekeys for landlords. The customer is standing outside a locked door, so a lead that waits an hour is gone. A wasted lead is a caller three counties away or someone pricing a key copy. See the locksmith lead pages by county.

Roofers

Roofing leads follow the weather: a leak after the first heavy rain, an insurance claim after hail or wind, a replacement forced by a sale or an inspection. A good lead is a named homeowner with an address and a described problem. A wasted one is a renter who cannot authorise the work. Browse roofing leads in each county.

HVAC & Air Conditioning Companies

An air conditioner that quits in the first hot week and a furnace that fails on the first cold night are worth more than any shoulder-season tune-up, so volume is planned month by month. A wasted lead is a commercial chiller when you only do residential. Here are the HVAC lead pages for each county.

Plumbers

Burst pipes, backed-up drains and water heaters that fail without warning are answered in the moment or lost. Planned work, like re-pipes on older homes and fixture replacements during a remodel, can wait for a callback. A wasted lead is a dripping tap that wanted a handyman. Find plumbing leads by county.

Mobile Mechanics

A car that will not start in a driveway, a brake or battery job the owner cannot get to a shop, a pre-purchase inspection at a seller's address. A good lead carries the vehicle, the fault and the location. A wasted one needs a lift you do not carry. See mobile mechanic leads in your county.

Painters

Exterior repaints before a sale or after an HOA notice, interior repaints on a move-in or rental turnover, cabinet, deck and fence work in the dry season. A painting lead is qualified on scope and ownership, so the estimate you drive to is one you can win. Look up painting contractor leads by county.

General Contractors

Kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions and ADUs, repairs after water, fire or storm damage. Contractor leads are the most expensive to chase, so each is screened for budget, timing and ownership before you hear about it. Browse remodel and project leads for general contractors.

Exterminators & Pest Control

Visible infestations, termite inspections required by a lender at sale, and commercial accounts for restaurants and warehouses. Pest control is recurring revenue, so one exclusive lead can be a customer for years. A wasted lead is a wildlife removal you do not do. See pest control leads by county.

Property Management Companies

An owner who is tired of self-managing, an investor closing on a rental, an HOA changing managers, a family renting out an inherited home. A management lead is an owner with a property and a door count. A wasted one is a tenant looking for a place to live. Find owner enquiries for property managers.

And many more

Our list of trades ends with "and many more", and the nine above are where the county pages start rather than the edge of what we market. Any home service trade that is bought locally, by someone with a problem, can be run the same way. What we need to know is what a good lead carries in your trade, what a wasted one looks like, and whether there is enough local demand in your county to make the numbers work.

Ask us

If your trade is on this list, ask us what a qualified lead would carry for your business specifically; if it is not, ask anyway.

What every home services lead carries before it reaches you

Whatever the trade, a lead is screened against the rules you set before it is sent. You should never have to call a lead to find out it was never yours.

  • A working way to reach the person. A name and a number or email that belong to someone expecting your call.
  • Where the job is. Checked against the cities, ZIP codes or radius you cover.
  • What they need. Described in the customer's words, and checked against the job types you take.
  • When they need it. Today, this week or this season, so you can call the urgent ones first.
  • Whether they can say yes. Ownership or authority, for the trades where a renter or a tenant is a wasted drive.

The exact fields for each trade are agreed with you at set-up. A plumber might want to know whether water is actively leaking; a property manager wants the number of units. With those details in hand, your office can plan the day's callbacks instead of working through a list of names blind.

Next step

Send us the questions your office asks on every first call, and we will build them into the screening for your leads.

Leads, calls or both: matching the product to the trade

Not every home service customer fills in a form. The faster the need, the more likely the customer is to pick up the phone. For a lockout, a burst pipe or a dead air conditioner in July, a live caller on your line is usually worth more than an enquiry, and our exclusive pay per call program is built for exactly that.

For planned work, the enquiry wins. A homeowner choosing a roofer or a painter wants to describe the job, send a photo and hear back, and a lead carrying those details is worth more than a short call. Plenty of trades run both. A plumbing or HVAC company might take calls for emergencies and leads for replacements and installs.

The rules that apply to every lead, including exclusivity, screening and disputes, are set out on the main pay per lead services page. If you are comparing us with another seller, start with how to judge a lead company.

Call

Tell us which of your jobs start with a phone call and which start with a form, and we will set up the right mix for you.

Why the county is the unit, not the state or the ZIP code

A state is too big to market a trade in, and a single ZIP code is usually too small to produce steady volume. The county is where demand, licensing and drive time line up. It is also how most home service businesses already describe where they work.

That is why we publish a page for each trade in each major county we cover, in California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Florida and New York. Each county page tells a business owner what demand for their trade looks like there, how the trade is licensed in that state, and which neighbouring counties are covered. Behind the page, we run the marketing for that trade in that county and send the enquiries to the business that takes them.

It is the same thinking as our local SEO work for service businesses, aimed at a single trade instead of a single company. We have built a program around one industry before: our restaurant marketing program was written the same way, for owners who wanted someone who understood their business rather than marketing in general.

Starting in your county

Getting started takes one conversation. Bring what you know about your own business, and we will tell you plainly whether pay per lead makes sense for your trade in your county.

  • Your trade and the jobs you want more of. Include the jobs you never want a lead for, too.
  • Your service area. The cities, ZIP codes or drive radius you really cover.
  • Your hours. When someone can call a lead back, including weekends and evenings.
  • Your capacity. How many new jobs a week you can take without making customers wait.

Prices are set per trade and county, and the standard terms for minimums, disputes and billing are being finalised. Every buyer gets them in writing before the first lead is sent.

What we would measure for your business.

The lines, opened upALL 6 UNSCORED UNTIL YOUR BUSINESS IS TESTED
Does your demand peak by season, and do your leads follow it?HVAC, roofing and pest control swing with the weather, so lead volume should be planned by month rather than set once a year.— / 100
How many enquiries arrive while your crew is on a job?Home service owners are on roofs and under sinks; this line shows how many customers are waiting while you work.— / 100
Are your leads screened for ownership and authority?A renter who cannot approve a re-roof or a repaint is a wasted drive, so ownership is checked where it matters.— / 100
Do your leads match the jobs you actually want?A lead for work you subcontract or refuse is a cost, so job-type rules are scored against what you received.— / 100
How far are you driving for each lead?Drive time eats margin in every trade on this page, so the share of leads inside your real radius is measured.— / 100
Which leads became recurring customers?Pest control, HVAC maintenance and property management are recurring trades where one lead can be years of work.— / 100
Why there is no example card on this page. A page showing a glowing “A” for an unnamed happy client is a picture, not a measurement. The first grade you see from us will be about your own business.

09Pay Per Lead Services

The questions that come up every time.

Which home service trades do you generate leads for?

Our county pages cover nine trades: Locksmiths, Roofers, HVAC & Air Conditioning Companies, Plumbers, Mobile Mechanics, Painters, General Contractors, Exterminators & Pest Control, Property Management Companies "and many more". That last part is meant literally. If your trade is not one of the nine, ask. The way a qualified, exclusive lead is produced and disputed is the same for any trade; what changes is what a good lead has to carry and what a wasted one looks like.

Are home services leads shared with other contractors?

No. A lead we send you goes to you only. Shared leads, where one homeowner's request is sold to several contractors at once, are the reason many trade businesses distrust pay per lead. They turn every job into a race to the phone and a price fight. Whether you can also hold your trade in your county outright, so no other buyer receives leads for that trade there, is answered county by county and is part of the terms.

How do you stop me paying for renters and tire-kickers?

By screening for the things your trade needs before the lead is sent. For roofers, painters and general contractors that includes whether the person owns the property and can authorise the work. For property managers, it means an owner with a property rather than a tenant looking for a rental. Some tire-kickers get through any filter, because people change their minds. A real person who decided not to go ahead is still a real lead; a renter who could never say yes is not.

What if a lead is outside my service area?

It should not reach you, and if it does, it is not billable. You tell us the cities, ZIP codes or drive radius you cover at set-up, and leads are screened against it before delivery. If one slips through, you dispute it with the reason and it is checked against the record. The window for raising a dispute and whether it is settled by credit or replacement are part of the terms, which are pending on this page until published.

Is pay per lead or pay per call better for my trade?

It depends on how fast your customer needs you. Lockouts, burst pipes and a dead air conditioner in a heat wave are decided on the phone in minutes, so a live call is usually worth more. Roofing, painting, remodels and property management are decided over days or weeks, so an enquiry with the right details attached usually serves you better. Many trade businesses run both, with calls for emergencies and leads for planned work.

How much does a home services lead cost?

The price is set per trade and per county, and we have not published a rate card yet. A general contractor's remodel lead costs more to produce than a pest control lead, and a lead in a large, competitive county costs more than the same lead in a smaller one. You will know the price before you buy the first lead, in writing. Until the rate card is published, it appears on this page as pending.
