Armenian Backlinks for Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora
For businesses selling to Armenian speakers, whether they live in Yerevan, Moscow, Beirut, Paris or Los Angeles. We match the standard of Armenian to the audience, place native-written articles on outlets those readers follow, and point each link at the page built for them.
“Get Found has deep relationships with Armenian PR outlets and the owners of niche Armenian blogs, as well as influencers and busy sites that carry real weight with search engines.”
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Eastern or Western, chosen on purpose. The two standards of Armenian read differently, and links work best in the one your buyers use.
- A global audience. Outlets in Armenia and diaspora sites in Russia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
- Native writers in Armenian script. Articles written by people who already read the outlet, in their own Armenian.

An Armenian page competes for readers spread across several continents and two written standards. The best way to build "Armenian backlinks, but better yet, backlinks for your Armenian-language site" is to contact us directly. We start every Armenian plan by working out who your reader is and where that reader lives.

Your Armenian reader may not live in Armenia
Most counts put more Armenians outside Armenia than inside it, with large communities in Russia, the United States, France, Lebanon, Iran and elsewhere. For many businesses the Armenian-speaking buyer lives in Glendale or Marseille rather than Yerevan. That changes which outlets matter, which standard of Armenian you write in and how you target the page.
Armenian has two living written standards. Eastern Armenian is the standard in Armenia, and it is also what Armenians from Iran and Russia generally read. Western Armenian grew up in the communities of the Ottoman Empire and lives on across much of the diaspora, particularly in Lebanon, Syria, France and the United States. They differ in pronunciation, in some vocabulary and in spelling: Armenia uses a reformed orthography introduced in the Soviet period, while Western Armenian keeps the classical spelling.
- One standard per page. A page for readers in Armenia should be in Eastern Armenian; a page aimed at the older diaspora communities may be better in Western.
- Links in the same standard. An article in Western Armenian linking to an Eastern Armenian page reads as a mismatch to the people you want to reach.
- Authors from the right community. We match writers to the standard, so the spelling and idiom fit the outlet.
tell us where your Armenian-speaking buyers live, and we will tell you which standard and which outlets to start with.

Links are still how search engines decide who to show
A new claim that backlinks have stopped mattering turns up every year, yet backlinks still matter no matter the date. Content, page speed and site structure count too, and we look at all of them. But without some really good backlinks, an Armenian page will never pop up in search, will not rank and will be drowned out by the competition that has them.
AI search reads links the same way: they are a major indicator of whether an Armenian site gets looked at at all. Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Copilot pull answers from pages other sites already cite. An Armenian page that no Armenian site references is unlikely to be the one quoted.
send us the Armenian searches that matter to you, and we will show you what kind of links the pages ranking for them have.

The Armenian alphabet, and the Latin letters people type instead
Armenian has its own alphabet, and good Armenian content is written in it. But many Armenian speakers type Armenian words in Latin letters, especially on phones, in chats and in quick searches, a habit sometimes called translit. Spellings vary from person to person. Russian is also widely read in Armenia, and many searches about business, technology and products are typed in Russian.
So the page is written in proper Armenian script, while the keyword plan and part of the anchor text reflect how people really search: Armenian script for most anchors, Latin-letter forms where research shows buyers use them, and your brand name spelled one agreed way. A Russian version of your site, if you need one, gets its own links from Russian-language sites.
we can check whether your buyers search in Armenian script, Latin letters or Russian before you commit to one.

A .am address does not always mean Armenia
The .am ending is Armenia's country-code domain, and it is also popular worldwide because it reads as a word in English. Plenty of .am sites have no Armenian readers at all. There is also an Armenian-script domain, .հայ, used by a small number of sites.
That is why we judge an outlet by the people who actually read it. A link from an English-language .am site does little for an Armenian page. A link from an Armenian-language news site on a .com can do a lot. For your own site, a .am domain is a clear signal for Armenia, but if your buyers are spread across the diaspora, a .com with Armenian pages, correct hreflang and Armenian links can serve them better.
hreflang uses hy for Armenian. Western Armenian has its own code in the wider language standards but no two-letter code of its own, so hreflang cannot separate the two standards for you. Separate URLs, consistent writing and links from the right communities have to do that work.
we can review your domain and hreflang setup alongside your links, so the targeting and the links point the same way.

Where Armenian links come from
We look for outlets with real readers and editors, in Armenia and abroad:
- National news sites. Armenian-language outlets read across the country, where expert articles and features earn a place.
- Regional and city sites. Local news for Gyumri, Vanadzor and other cities, read by the customers a regional business needs.
- Diaspora news and community sites. Armenian-language outlets serving communities in Russia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
- Niche blogs. Armenian writers on technology, food, travel, family, education and business.
- Directories. Armenian business listings that confirm your name, location and service.
Get Found has a large network of authors and outlets, and every placement goes through the same test: we skip poor-quality or spammy sites with no connection to your product or service. Our backlink building services page explains how that test is applied across every market.
tell us your industry, and we will tell you which of these outlet types fit it and which would look out of place.

Why a translated Armenian page with English links stays invisible
A business translates its site into Armenian, publishes it, and often stops there. The domain may have strong English links, but none of them are Armenian. No Armenian site mentions the page, every anchor is in English and every linking site is read by English speakers. A search engine reads that as a translation with no local audience behind it.
Once Armenian news sites and diaspora blogs start citing the page, search engines can see it belongs to the Armenian web, and it gets a fair chance to rank. Every article we place is written by a native Armenian author in the outlet's own register, because machine-translated text is rejected by good editors and spotted by readers.
if your Armenian pages have been live with no movement, we will count the Armenian links pointing at them and plan the first ones.

How we build Armenian links with you
We map who ranks for your Armenian searches and who links to them, agree topics, match each topic to an outlet whose readers care, and commission a native author in the right standard. Every link sits inside an article worth reading on its own, so the profile can come through any Google update, and any hostile move by a competitor, intact.
Armenian-market clients get this by dealing with us directly, as a leading provider of Backlink Building Services, instead of through an agency that resells our work. If you also sell in the neighbouring markets, see our Georgian link building page and our backlinks for Azerbaijani-language sites; for buyers in France, the French backlinks page applies. The company page on matching strategy to budget and our language and niche link service explain the rest, and when you are ready, contact us with your site and target searches.

The questions that come up every time.
What is the difference between Eastern and Western Armenian for SEO?
Eastern Armenian is the standard in Armenia and among Armenians from Iran and Russia. Western Armenian is used in much of the diaspora, historically in Lebanon, Syria, France and the United States. They differ in pronunciation, some vocabulary and spelling conventions. A page and its links should use the standard of the readers you want, because content in the other one reads as foreign and may not match how those readers search.
Do backlinks still matter for Armenian websites?
Yes. They are not the only factor, but they remain one of the clearest signs to search engines and AI answer tools that a page deserves attention. Armenian results for most commercial searches have fewer strong competitors than English ones, so relevant Armenian links can make a visible difference where English links alone do not.
Is a .am domain a good signal for Armenia?
It can be, but it is not proof. The .am ending is popular with English-language sites, especially radio and audio brands, because it reads as a word. Search engines and buyers both look past the domain to the language and readership. For links, we judge an outlet by who reads it, not by its ending. There is also an Armenian-script domain, .հայ, which a few Armenian sites use.
Can Russian-language links help my Armenian pages?
They help the domain, and they are the right links for a Russian version of your site, which many businesses serving Armenia need. For the Armenian pages they are a weak substitute, because the language and anchors do not match. We build each language's profile from sites in that language.
How do you reach the diaspora?
Through Armenian-language community sites, diaspora news outlets and niche blogs read in the countries where those communities live, written in the standard of Armenian they use. We also check that your site's targeting lets search engines show your Armenian page to readers outside Armenia, rather than only to searchers inside the country.
Who writes the Armenian articles?
Native Armenian authors who write in the standard and register of each outlet. Machine translation is easy to spot in Armenian, and editors at worthwhile outlets turn it down. Every article is written to be worth reading without the link, which is what keeps it published and keeps it counting through future updates.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
