Hebrew Backlinks for Israeli and Hebrew-Language Sites
For businesses selling to Hebrew speakers in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa or among Israelis abroad. We get your right-to-left pages ready for links, earn placements on Hebrew outlets Israelis read, and have native authors write every article.
“Get Found has deep relationships with Israeli PR outlets, owners of niche Hebrew blogs, influencers, and sites with genuine traffic whose links count.”
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Right to left, done properly. Pages, anchors and mixed Hebrew and English text that read cleanly, not backwards.
- Hebrew spelling as people type it. Full and defective spellings, attached prefixes and the forms Israelis really search.
- Israeli outlets with real readers. National news, local city sites, tech press and niche blogs, written for by native authors.

Start here.
A Hebrew page is read right to left, spelled more than one way and searched by a market that knows its own web well. The best way to build "Hebrew backlinks, but better yet, backlinks for your Hebrew-language site" is to contact us directly. The first thing we check is the direction of the text itself.

Right to left, and everything that flips with it
Hebrew runs right to left. A Hebrew page has to be built right to left from the start, which takes more than a translation. The page needs its direction set correctly, menus and layouts mirrored, and care wherever Hebrew meets numbers, English brand names or Latin letters, because that is where punctuation jumps to the wrong end of a line and phrases appear in the wrong order.
Editors notice. An outlet weighing whether to link to you will click through, and a page with broken right-to-left text looks like an afterthought. Before we build links to a Hebrew page, we check that it is ready to receive them.
- Direction set on the page, so browsers lay out Hebrew text and English names correctly together.
- Anchors that read cleanly in a right-to-left sentence, including when they contain your English brand name.
- URLs chosen deliberately. Hebrew letters in a URL become long encoded strings when copied and shared, so many Israeli sites use short transliterated or English slugs with Hebrew titles and text.
send us your Hebrew pages and we will check them for right-to-left problems before any links point at them.

One word, many spellings: full and defective Hebrew
Everyday Hebrew is written without vowel marks. To help readers, words are often spelled with extra letters standing in for vowels, called full spelling, while other texts use the shorter defective spelling. The same word can appear in two forms, and Israelis search in both.
Hebrew also attaches short words to the front of the next one. The, and, in, to, from and that are single letters joined to the noun that follows, so one keyword appears in a dozen shapes across real sentences. A keyword plan copied from an English list, with one exact phrase per page, misses most of how Israelis actually search.
Our authors write natural Hebrew, which means anchors take whatever form the sentence needs. Across a profile, that variety is exactly what a real set of Hebrew citations looks like.
we can map the spelling and prefix variants of your main Hebrew keywords before we plan anchors.

Google sets the rules in Israel
Israelis search overwhelmingly on Google, in Hebrew for local needs and often in English for technical ones. Links are still a central part of how Google decides who to show. They are not the only part: content, speed and structure all count. But without some really good backlinks, a Hebrew page will never pop up in search, will not rank and gets drowned out by competitors who have them. That has been true every year someone predicted otherwise.
AI search gives links one more job. Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Copilot draw answers from pages the web already cites. Links remain a major indicator that a website should even be looked at, and a Hebrew page that no Israeli site mentions is unlikely to be the one an answer quotes.
send the Hebrew searches that matter to your business, and we will show you the links behind the pages ranking for them.

.co.il, .org.il and the Israeli address
Israel's country domain is .il, and most organisations sit under a second level: .co.il for businesses, .org.il for non-profits, .ac.il for universities and colleges, .gov.il for government and .muni.il for local authorities. A .co.il address is a clear signal that a business is Israeli, and a link from a well-read .co.il site carries a local meaning that a .com rarely does.
For your own targeting, hreflang should use he, or he-IL for pages aimed at Israel. You may notice that the translate button on this page uses iw. That is Google's older code for Hebrew, still accepted by its translation tools, but not the one your markup should carry.
University sites under .ac.il are trusted, and they are also careful about what they link to. Links from them come from genuine collaboration, research or student-facing resources, not from outreach emails.
we can review your domain, hreflang and language markup alongside your links, so targeting and citations agree.

A multilingual country: Hebrew, Arabic, Russian and English
Hebrew is the main language of Israeli media and commerce, but it is not the only one. Arabic is the first language of a large share of Israeli citizens, Russian is widely spoken by immigrants from the former Soviet Union and their families, and English is everywhere in technology and business. French, Amharic and other languages have communities of their own.
Each language version of your site needs links from sites in that language. A Russian-language Israeli news site helps your Russian page, an Arabic-language outlet helps your Arabic page, and Hebrew outlets help your Hebrew page. Mixing them up wastes good links on pages they cannot help much.
Outside Israel, Israelis living abroad read Hebrew sites, while many Jewish community sites abroad publish in English, French or other languages. We match each outlet's language to the page it links to.
tell us which languages your Israeli customers use, and we will tell you which pages need links first.

The Israeli outlets worth earning
Get Found has a large network of authors and outlets, and every Hebrew placement passes one test: we do not use weak or spammy sites that are off-topic for your product or service. In Israel we look for:
- National news sites, read across the country, where expert comment and features earn a place.
- Local city news. Jerusalem, Haifa, Beersheba and many smaller cities have local news sites with loyal readers.
- Technology and startup press, for a market where tech coverage is unusually strong.
- Niche blogs and forums, on parenting, food, finance, travel, real estate, health and consumer topics.
- Directories and associations, Israeli business listings and trade bodies that confirm who you are.
Timing matters too. The Israeli working week runs Sunday to Thursday, many outlets slow down for Shabbat, and the autumn holidays can pause publishing for weeks. We plan around that rather than pitching into silence.
tell us your sector, and we will tell you which kinds of Israeli outlets fit it and which would not.

How Get Found builds Hebrew links
We check your Hebrew pages, map who ranks for your searches and who links to them, agree topics, and match each to an outlet whose readers care, with a native Hebrew author writing every piece. Each link sits inside an article worth reading on its own, so the profile can stay strong through Google updates and hostile competitor tactics.
That standard comes with working directly with a leading provider of Backlink Building Services. Hebrew is one part of our backlink building services. Our backlink company page covers how we plan around a budget, and our niche and language link building service lists every market. For Arabic-speaking readers, see Arabic backlinks; the same right-to-left care applies on our Persian link building page; and for Israel's French-speaking community, see backlinks in French. When you are ready, contact us about your Hebrew site.

What we would measure for your business.
The parts of this page we will not guess at.
The live site has never published a price for anything. Rather than invent a plausible-looking number, each item is here and blank until it is set.
Get these lines filled in for your business. It takes what you sell, where, and your site.

The questions that come up every time.
Why does this page's translate button say iw while hreflang uses he?
Hebrew's language code was changed from iw to he decades ago, but Google's translation tools still accept the older code, which is why the button at the top of this page uses it. For your own site, hreflang and the HTML lang attribute should use he, or he-IL for a page aimed at Israel. Mixing the two codes in your markup is a small error that is easy to avoid.
Do backlinks still matter for Hebrew websites?
Yes. Content quality, page speed and structure count, but links remain a major indicator to Google and to AI search tools that a page is worth showing at all. Many Hebrew results have fewer strong competitors than English ones, which means a handful of relevant Hebrew links can move a page further than the same effort would in English.
Should my Hebrew URLs be in Hebrew letters?
They can be, and Google reads them. The drawback is that when copied and shared, each Hebrew letter turns into a long encoded string, so links look messy in emails, chats and some outlets' editors. Many Israeli sites use short English or transliterated slugs with Hebrew titles and text. Either works if it is consistent; what matters more is that the page itself is proper right-to-left Hebrew.
Can links from Jewish community sites abroad help?
They can, when they are in Hebrew and read by Hebrew speakers, such as sites serving Israelis living abroad. Many Jewish community sites outside Israel publish mainly in English, French, Spanish or Russian, and those links fit your pages in those languages rather than your Hebrew ones. We match the language of the outlet to the page it links to.
Who writes the Hebrew articles?
Native Hebrew authors who know Israeli readers and the outlet's register, from a tech site's informal tone to a business portal's more formal one. Translated Hebrew is easy to spot, from word order to idiom, and editors reject it. Every article is written to be worth reading without the link, which keeps it published and keeps the link counting.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
