Czech Backlinks That Count on Seznam and Google
For businesses with a Czech-language site, or a foreign brand selling into Czechia, that needs to rank where Czech people actually search. We build links on Czech outlets, written by native authors, that both Seznam and Google read as Czech authority.
“We pass over spammy and low-quality sites that are irrelevant to your product or service.”
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Two engines, one profile. Seznam and Google both rank Czech sites, and the links we build are chosen to count on both.
- Czech written by Czechs. Seven grammatical cases and a full set of diacritics leave no room for translated copy.
- Outlets Czech readers visit. National news, regional sites, niche blogs and directories with real Czech audiences.

The best way to build "Czech backlinks, but better yet, backlinks for your Czech website" is to contact us directly. Czechia is one of the few countries in Europe where Google does not have the field to itself, so a Czech link profile has to persuade two search engines at once, and that changes how the work is planned from the first link.

Czech sites have to rank in two search engines
Seznam is a Czech company that has run its own search engine since the early days of the Czech web, and it is still the home page, email provider and news source for a large part of the country. It has its own crawler, SeznamBot, its own index and its own webmaster tools. A site can sit on page one of Google and be nowhere on Seznam, and Czech businesses find that out when their phones stay quiet.
Seznam is more than a results page. Its business directory, Firmy.cz, feeds its local results and its map service, Mapy.cz, which a great many Czechs use in place of Google Maps. Its news service draws a national audience. A complete Firmy.cz listing is to Seznam what a Google Business Profile is to Google, and Czech companies that skip it are invisible in one of the two places their customers look.
- Google. The larger share of Czech searches, especially on Android phones and among younger users.
- Seznam search. A separate index and ranking that rewards Czech relevance and Czech links.
- Firmy.cz and Mapy.cz. Seznam's directory and maps, the local layer most foreign brands never see.
- AI answers in Czech. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity citing Czech sources.
tell us the Czech searches that matter to you and we will check where you stand on Seznam and on Google, side by side.

The links both engines agree on
Seznam and Google disagree on plenty, but both treat links from Czech sites as a reason to show a Czech page. Both engines read links as evidence that real Czech publishers, writers and organisations vouch for a site, and both discount links that look bought in bulk from sites with no Czech readers.
That is why links still count, years after people first predicted the end of them. Content, speed, structure and local listings count as well, and no single signal decides a ranking. But for both engines, and for the AI answers built on top of them, links are still the evidence that a Czech site is worth considering in the first place. A Czech site with no good Czech links stays out of sight however well it is built, while competitors who have been earning them for years take the clicks.
A translated site makes the gap obvious. Translate an English site into Czech, keep its English links, and the Czech pages look like what they are: a foreign site with a Czech layer. The authority behind your English pages does not carry over to the Czech ones, so it has to be earned again from Czech sources.
if your Czech pages are indexed but stuck, we will show you which Czech sites link to the competitors above you, on both engines.

Háčky, čárky and what ř, ů and ě do to links
Czech is written with a full set of diacritics: the háček in č, ř, š, ž and ě, the čárka in á, é, í, ó, ú and ý, and the small ring in ů. Czech readers expect them. Czech searchers often leave them out when they type, especially on phones, and both engines match the plain and accented forms of most words.
That gives a clear rule for links. In the visible text and the anchor, write correct Czech with every accent in place; an anchor without them reads as careless or foreign. In the address, most Czech sites drop diacritics from their slugs, because an accented URL becomes a long percent-encoded string when it is pasted into email or chat. What matters is that one rule applies across the whole site, so a page is never reachable under two spellings.
Encoding is the older trap. Czech text saved in the wrong character set turns ř and ů into strings of symbols. Pages from older Czech sites still carry it, and a link from a page like that tells readers more about the publisher than about you.
send us your Czech URLs and a few target phrases and we will check whether your slugs and anchors follow one consistent rule.

The Czech outlets worth a link
The Czech web is compact and well organised, which makes good outlets easier to find and bad ones easier to spot. National news sites from the big publishers and broadcasters sit at the top. Regional news still matters, with city and regional editions covering Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Plzeň and every region in between. Below them are the specialist magazines and niche blogs that cover cars, building, parenting, travel, technology and finance for engaged Czech readers, plus the directories and industry associations that Czech buyers check.
We pass over spammy and low-quality sites that are irrelevant to your product or service. The Czech web has its share of article farms that publish anything for a fee, and both Seznam and Google know where they are. Get Found's relationships are with Czech PR outlets, owners of specialist blogs, influencers, and sites with a genuine Czech audience that pass real authority, which is how a profile can remain solid through Google updates and any spiteful action by a competitor.
tell us your industry and the Czech regions you sell in, and we will describe the kinds of Czech outlets that reach those readers.

Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian readers in Czechia
Czech and Slovak readers understand each other, and plenty of Czech media is read in Slovakia. Search engines still treat them as two languages and two countries. A Czech page and a Slovak page each need their own links, pointed at their own URLs, and paired with hreflang: cs for Czech, sk for Slovak. A common slip is to write cz, which is the country code, not the language, and leaves the Czech version unrecognised.
Czechia is also home to a large Ukrainian community, and many businesses now serve them in their own language. If you run Ukrainian pages for customers in Czechia, mark them uk-CZ and build links from the Ukrainian-language outlets and community sites they read. Our page on Ukrainian-language link building covers that side, and our guide to Slovak backlinks explains how the neighbouring market differs: Google-led, priced in euros, and sensitive to the letters only Slovak uses.
if you sell in Czechia and Slovakia from one site, we will map which pages need Czech links, which need Slovak ones, and how hreflang should tie them together.

Seven cases need a Czech writer
Czech has seven grammatical cases, so a keyword changes its ending depending on its role in the sentence. A product called a "kitchen" in English might appear in a Czech article in several forms, and every one of them is correct. A translated article gets these endings wrong in ways a Czech editor spots in the first paragraph, and it usually goes no further.
That is why every Czech article we place is written by a native Czech author for the readers of that outlet. It also helps the anchors: natural Czech links vary their endings on their own, which keeps the profile looking like what it is, editorial coverage, rather than a list of exact-match phrases. The same is true of Hungarian, which we cover on our Hungarian backlinks page.
tell us your three most important Czech keywords and we will show you the forms Czech writers actually use for them.

How Get Found builds Czech backlinks
As a leading provider of Backlink Building Services, Get Found gives clients who work with us directly a large network of authors and outlets to draw on, including Czech writers who know what both engines reward. We begin with a look at your site on Seznam and Google, your Firmy.cz listing and the links behind the Czech competitors you are up against. From that we agree which pages need links first, the kinds of outlets, the topics and the anchors.
The thinking behind it is the one our backlink company page sets out: fewer, better links over volume, sized to what you can spend. Czech sits with the other languages and the niche campaigns on our backlinks building service, part of the wider backlink building services category. When you are ready, tell us about your Czech site and we will come back with a plan that counts on Seznam and on Google.

The questions that come up every time.
Do I really need to rank on Seznam if I rank on Google?
If your buyers are Czech, yes. Seznam is still the home page and email provider for a large part of the country, and it runs its own crawler, its own index and its own ranking. Plenty of Czech sites that do well on Google are weak on Seznam, and the reverse happens too. Fortunately, the links both engines value overlap heavily: links from Czech sites with real readers, on topics related to yours.
What is Firmy.cz and why does it matter for links?
Firmy.cz is Seznam's business directory. A complete listing feeds Seznam's local results and its map service, Mapy.cz, which a great many Czechs use instead of Google Maps. It is not a backlink in the editorial sense, but it is the Czech equivalent of getting your Google Business Profile right, and it supports the citations and links that local Czech sites give you.
Should Czech URLs include diacritics?
Most Czech sites leave them out of the address and keep them in the page. A slug written without háčky and čárky is easier to share, type and paste, and both Seznam and Google match it to searches with or without diacritics. In the visible text and the anchor text, use correct Czech spelling. Czech readers accept a plain URL without complaint, but a heading missing its accents looks careless to them.
Will links from Slovak sites help my Czech pages?
Some, because Czech and Slovak readers understand each other and many Slovak sites cover Czech topics. But search engines still treat them as separate languages and countries. A Czech page needs most of its links from Czech sites to rank in Czechia, and a Slovak page needs Slovak ones. If you sell in both countries, build two profiles, each pointed at its own pages.
Can the articles be written in English and translated into Czech?
We do not do that. Czech has seven grammatical cases, so a product name or keyword changes its ending depending on its role in the sentence, and translated copy gets these wrong in ways Czech editors catch at once. Every Czech article we place is written by a native Czech author for the readers of that outlet.
Do backlinks still matter for AI search in Czech?
If anything, they matter more. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity all answer Czech questions, and they cite sources that the Czech web already treats as credible. Being linked and mentioned by Czech publications is how a company becomes one of those sources. A brand with no Czech coverage rarely appears when an AI answer lists Czech suppliers.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
