ä, ľ, ĺ, ŕ and ô: the letters that give a link away
Slovak shares most of its diacritics with Czech, and then adds its own: ä, ľ, ĺ, ŕ and ô. These are the letters a non-native writer gets wrong, often by spelling a Slovak word the Czech way. To a Slovak reader that is as obvious as American spelling in a British newspaper, and it marks the article as written for someone else.
For links, that means four things:
- Anchors in correct Slovak. Every háček, dĺžeň and vokáň in place in the visible text.

You can be found that way, but you will rarely rank well.
