Kazakh Backlinks That Count on Google and Yandex
For businesses selling in Kazakhstan whose Kazakh pages need to rank on both search engines people there use. We place native-written articles on Kazakh and Russian-language outlets with real readers, in a script plan that allows for the move from Cyrillic to Latin.
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Two search engines, one profile. Links chosen to satisfy Google and Yandex, both of which punish bought links on irrelevant sites.
- Kazakh and Russian, kept apart. Each language version of your site earns links from sites written in that language.
- Ready for the alphabet change. A script plan for Cyrillic Kazakh now and Latin Kazakh as it spreads.

Kazakhstan is one of the few markets where two search engines matter. The best way to build "Kazakh backlinks, but better yet, backlinks for your site in Kazakh" is to contact us directly. Kazakhstan has two engines to satisfy and an alphabet in transition. It also has two working languages and its own outlets, and each of these changes how links get built.

Google and Yandex both read Kazakhstan, and both judge your links
Google is the search engine most people in Kazakhstan use, and Yandex keeps a real share, particularly among Russian speakers and older users. A business that only checks its Google rankings is missing part of its market.
The two engines do not agree on everything, but they agree on links. Both treat links from relevant sites with real readers as a sign that a page deserves attention. Both penalise links bought purely to move rankings. Yandex introduced a filter years ago aimed squarely at sites buying SEO links, and Google has its own link spam policies. That makes the cheap shortcut doubly risky in Kazakhstan.
- Yandex Webmaster. Your site verified, its region set to Kazakhstan or the right city, and its pages indexed.
- Google Search Console. Indexing, hreflang and international targeting checked for each language version.
- One kind of link for both. Editorial placements on relevant Kazakh and Russian-language sites, which is what both engines reward.
tell us whether you have checked your Yandex rankings in Kazakhstan, and we will show you what each engine sees today.

Links still separate the sites that rank from the sites that do not
Whatever year it is, someone will say backlinks are over. In Kazakhstan that claim is as wrong as it is anywhere else. Links are not the only factor, but they remain a major indicator that a website should even be looked at, by Google, by Yandex and by the AI tools that now answer questions before anyone clicks. Without some really good backlinks, a Kazakh page will never pop up in search, will not rank and will be drowned out by the competition.
Kazakh also gives you an opening. For many commercial searches, fewer strong Kazakh-language pages compete than in Russian, so a handful of relevant Kazakh links can carry a page further than the same effort would in Russian or English.
send us your main Kazakh searches and we will show you how many of the pages ranking for them have Kazakh links at all.

Cyrillic now, Latin coming: plan the script before the links
Kazakh is written in Cyrillic today, with extra letters such as ә, ғ, қ, ң, ө, ұ, ү, һ and і. A move to a Latin alphabet was announced in 2017, and the alphabet has been revised since, so the switch is gradual. Most Kazakh content and most Kazakh searches are still Cyrillic, but a link plan should not pretend Latin will never arrive.
There is a second wrinkle. Many people type Kazakh on Russian keyboards and replace the Kazakh-specific letters with their nearest Russian equivalents, so қ becomes к and ң becomes н. Searches come in both forms.
- Cyrillic pages first, written correctly with the full Kazakh alphabet.
- Anchors that allow for substitution, using the simplified spellings where people really type them.
- Latin pages on their own URLs when your audience starts searching in Latin, each with its own links.
- One spelling of your brand in each script, so mentions add up.
we can check which spellings of your main searches people actually type before we write a single anchor.

Kazakh and Russian on the same site, earning their own links
Russian is widely used in Kazakhstan, especially in business, in the cities and online. Most companies selling there need a Russian version as well as a Kazakh one, and many add English. Each version needs links from sites written in its own language.
A Russian-language Almaty business portal is the right home for a link to your Russian page. A Kazakh-language regional news site is the right home for a link to your Kazakh page. Pointing Russian links at Kazakh pages gives search engines a mixed message, and it leaves the Kazakh results to competitors who did the work.
if you have both language versions, we can audit the two link profiles together and show you which one is being neglected.

The outlets that carry Kazakh links
Kazakh readers get their news from national sites, many of which publish in Kazakh and Russian side by side, and from busy city and regional portals. The Kazakh outlets we use have editors, and people actually read them:
- National news sites with Kazakh-language sections, where an expert article or feature earns its place.
- City portals for Almaty, Astana and Shymkent, read by the local customers a city business needs.
- Regional news for the oblast centres, from Aktobe and Atyrau in the west to Ust-Kamenogorsk in the east.
- Niche blogs written in Kazakh on technology, family, food, cars, education and finance.
- Business directories and maps where local listings confirm your name, address and service.
Our writers and outlets in Kazakhstan all pass one rule from David: no low-grade or spammy sites, and nothing unrelated to what you sell. Our backlink building services start with your topic, and the outlets are chosen to fit it.
tell us which cities you sell in and we will tell you which kinds of Kazakh outlets fit.

Translation alone does not rank in Kazakh results
A company adds a Kazakh translation, points no Kazakh links at it, and the page sits unseen while the Russian version gets the traffic. The domain's links are Russian or English, so nothing tells either engine that Kazakh readers value the Kazakh page. Machine translation makes it worse, and editors at good outlets will not publish it.
Every article we place is written by a native author in the outlet's language and register. hreflang marks the versions as kk-KZ, ru-KZ and so on, with every version listing the others. A .kz domain signals Kazakhstan clearly, though its registration rules are worth checking first, and a .com with the right targeting can rank as well.
If you also sell into Central Asia, see our Kyrgyz link building page, which faces the same two engines, and our Uzbek backlinks in Latin and Cyrillic. For businesses reaching Kazakhstan from Turkey, the Turkish backlinks page covers that side.
if your Kazakh pages are live but quiet, we will count their Kazakh links and plan the first placements.

How we work on Kazakh links
We map who ranks for your Kazakh searches on Google and Yandex and who links to them, agree topics, match each topic to an outlet whose readers care, and commission a native author. Each link is placed in an article that Kazakh readers would read even without it.
We place through press contacts, owners of niche blogs, influencers and Kazakh sites whose visitors are real and whose links carry weight. A profile built from them can survive Google's updates and a hostile competitor's tactics, and it holds up on Yandex for the same reasons. Working with us directly is how you reach that network, since link building is the core of what Get Found does. Read how we fit a link plan to your budget, see the languages and niches we cover, and when you are ready, contact Get Found with your site and target searches.

The questions that come up every time.
Should I build links for Google or Yandex in Kazakhstan?
Both, with the same links. Google is used by most searchers in Kazakhstan and Yandex keeps a real audience, especially among Russian speakers. The good news is that both reward the same kind of link: an editorial mention on a relevant site with real readers. What differs is the setup. Yandex Webmaster needs your site verified and its region set, and Google Search Console needs correct hreflang and indexing.
Should my Kazakh pages be in Cyrillic or Latin?
Today, most Kazakh content online and most Kazakh searches are still in Cyrillic, so that is where most sites should start. The official switch to Latin was announced in 2017 and has moved gradually, with the alphabet revised along the way. We recommend Cyrillic pages now, with a plan to add Latin versions on their own URLs when your audience starts searching that way.
Do Russian-language links help my Kazakh pages?
They help your domain, and they are the right links for your Russian pages, which most businesses in Kazakhstan need. For the Kazakh pages they are a weak signal, because the language and anchors do not match. We build each language's profile from sites in that language, and both grow together.
Do backlinks still matter in Kazakhstan?
Yes. Neither Google nor Yandex ranks on links alone, and both look at content, behaviour and technical quality. But links remain one of the clearest signs that a site deserves attention. Kazakh-language results are less crowded than Russian ones for many searches, so relevant Kazakh links can move a page noticeably. AI answer tools also lean on sources other sites already cite.
Do I need a .kz domain?
Not necessarily. A .kz domain signals Kazakhstan clearly, but the registration rules for it have included requirements about local hosting and registrant details, which you should check before registering. A .com with Kazakh and Russian versions, correct hreflang, a Yandex region setting and Kazakh links can rank well. We advise on the domain once we know where you sell.
Who writes the Kazakh articles?
Native Kazakh authors, and native Russian authors for the Russian-language placements. Each writes in the register of the outlet that will publish the piece. Editors at worthwhile outlets reject machine translation, and so do readers. Every article is meant to be worth reading on its own, which is what keeps a link standing through updates on either engine.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
