Uzbek Backlinks Written Natively, in the Script Your Readers Use
For businesses selling into Uzbekistan, or to Uzbek speakers abroad, whose Uzbek pages have nothing in Uzbek pointing at them. We place articles by native authors on outlets real Uzbek readers visit, in Latin or Cyrillic script to match the page each link supports.
“Choose the Uzbek script first, then build links in that same script.”
No obligation. Tell us what you sell and where, and a person replies.
- Both alphabets covered. Latin and Cyrillic Uzbek are written by people who read them every day, so each link matches the script of the page it points to.
- Uzbek outlets, not English filler. National news, regional portals and niche blogs whose readers live in Uzbekistan or follow it from abroad.
- Built to last. Links on sites with real readers, planned to survive the next update rather than ride the last one.

You have an Uzbek version of your site, and nothing written in Uzbek links to it. The best way to build "Uzbek backlinks, but better yet, backlinks for your Uzbek-language site" is to contact us directly. We would look first at the alphabet your pages use, because it matters as much as the outlets.

Links still decide whether an Uzbek page is seen at all
Every year someone announces that links are finished. Then the same searches in Uzbekistan keep returning the same established sites, and the newcomer with a carefully translated page sits on page five. Backlinks still matter no matter the date, because a page nobody links to gives a search engine very little reason to look at it. Without some really good links, a site will never pop up in search, will not rank and will be drowned out by the competition.
Links are not the only factor. Content, speed, structure and how visitors behave on the page all count, and we work on those too. But links remain a major indicator that a website should even be looked at, by Google and by the AI answers that now sit above the results. When ChatGPT search, Google's AI Overviews or Perplexity answer a question in Uzbek, they lean on sources other sites already cite.
In a smaller language web, that effect is stronger. Fewer Uzbek-language sites compete for most searches, so a handful of relevant Uzbek links can separate you from rivals who have none.
tell us which Uzbek searches you want to appear for, and we will show you who links to the sites that already rank for them.

Two alphabets, one audience: Latin and Cyrillic Uzbek
Uzbekistan adopted a Latin alphabet for Uzbek in the 1990s, and the move to it has been slower than planned. Schools teach Latin, official sites publish in it, and younger readers search in it. Yet Cyrillic Uzbek is still everywhere: in print, on shop signs, in older readers' habits and on news sites that publish both. The script your page uses decides which links can help it.
A link in a Cyrillic article pointing at a Latin page is not wrong, but it is weaker than it looks. The anchor text matches nothing on the target page, and a reader who clicks lands in an alphabet they did not choose. We plan the two scripts as separate audiences:
- One script per URL. Latin and Cyrillic versions each get their own address, never a toggle that swaps the text on one page.
- Links in the matching script. Articles supporting the Latin page are written in Latin Uzbek; articles for the Cyrillic page in Cyrillic.
- Anchors that follow real typing. The letters oʻ and gʻ are typed with a turned comma, a straight apostrophe, a backtick or nothing at all. Searchers do all four, and a natural anchor profile does too.
- Brand names transliterated once. Your company name is spelled the same way in every article in each script, so mentions add up instead of splitting.
send us your Uzbek pages and we will tell you which script each one should be supported in, and where the links are mismatched today.

Russian runs alongside, and so does more than one search engine
Many readers in Uzbekistan move between Uzbek and Russian in the same afternoon, especially in Tashkent, and plenty of business searches are typed in Russian. Google is the search engine most people use, and Yandex keeps an audience, mostly among Russian speakers. A business serving Uzbekistan often needs three versions, Uzbek, Russian and English, and each version needs links from sites written in its own language.
We do not borrow Russian links to prop up an Uzbek page, or the other way round. A Russian-language Tashkent business portal is a good home for a link to your Russian page. An Uzbek-language regional news site is the right home for a link to your Uzbek one. The profiles grow side by side, and each makes sense on its own.
if you run Uzbek and Russian versions, we can audit both link profiles together and show you which one is carrying the other.

Where Uzbek links actually come from
The Uzbek web has its own shape. A lot of news is followed through Telegram channels, which are good for reach and of little use as links, because search engines rarely treat a channel post like a web page with a followed link. The links that count still live on websites, and we look for them in a few places:
- National news sites. Outlets publishing in Uzbek, often in both scripts, with editors who decide what runs.
- Regional portals. Sites focused on one region, such as Samarkand, Fergana or Namangan, whose readers are the local customers a regional business wants.
- Niche blogs. Uzbek writers covering technology, family, food, cars, education or business, where a topical article reads naturally.
- Business directories and catalogues. Local listings that confirm your company exists, where it trades and what it does.
- Diaspora sites. Uzbek-language sites read by communities in Russia, Turkey, South Korea and the United States.
Get Found has a large network of authors and outlets, and we build the Uzbek side of it like every other: relationships with editors and site owners whose pages have real readers. Which outlets fit your business depends on your niche, which is why our backlink building services always start with the topic and choose the domains after.
tell us your industry and the regions you sell in, and we will tell you which kinds of Uzbek outlets would make sense for it.

A translated page with English links will not rank in Uzbek
This is the mistake we see most. A company translates its site into Uzbek, sometimes well, sometimes by machine, publishes it and waits. The Uzbek pages inherit the domain's English links, and the domain may be strong. But nothing tells a search engine that Uzbek readers value the Uzbek page. No Uzbek site mentions it, no Uzbek article cites it, and every anchor pointing at the domain is in English.
Search engines judge relevance partly from the company a page keeps. An Uzbek page surrounded only by English links looks like a translation nobody asked for. An Uzbek page cited by Uzbek news and Uzbek blogs looks like part of the Uzbek web, and search engines tend to rank that one.
The same goes for the writing. Machine-translated articles read as machine-translated, and editors at decent outlets turn them down. Every article we place is written by a native Uzbek author, in the register the outlet uses, so it is published on its merits and reads as if it belongs there.
if your Uzbek pages have been live for months with no traction, we will check whether they have a single Uzbek link and plan the first ones.

The technical side: .uz, hreflang and geotargeting
Links do their best work when the site tells search engines clearly who each page is for. Three settings matter most for an Uzbek audience:
| Setting | What it tells search engines | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | A .uz address says Uzbekistan by itself; a .com needs other signals | Whether the domain matches who you actually sell to |
| hreflang | Which language and region each page serves | That every version lists every other one, with return tags |
| Script | Latin or Cyrillic Uzbek, each on its own URL | That both versions are indexed and linked separately |
hreflang uses the code uz for Uzbek, optionally with a region, as in uz-UZ. Script subtags such as uz-Cyrl exist in the language standards, but it is unwise to assume every search engine reads them, so separate URLs, consistent internal links and links in the matching script carry the signal more reliably. The diaspora deserves its own decision. An Uzbek reader in Moscow or Seoul searches in Uzbek but is shown results for the country they live in, so links from diaspora sites help your page reach them there.
If your site also serves Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan, the same structure applies with different scripts and different outlets; see our Kazakh link building page and links for Kyrgyz-language sites. Armenian brings an alphabet of its own, covered on the Armenian backlinks page.
we can review your hreflang setup alongside your links, because a strong profile pointing at the wrong version is wasted.

How we build an Uzbek link profile with you
We start by mapping who ranks for your Uzbek searches today and who links to them. Then we agree topics with you, match each topic to an outlet whose readers care about it, and commission a native author to write it. Each article has to earn its place with Uzbek readers before it carries a link.
David's rule applies in Uzbek as in every language: no spam sites, and nothing unrelated to your product or service. We place through press contacts, niche bloggers, influencers and Uzbek sites with readers who actually visit, so the profile we build with you can come through Google's updates and a rival's sabotage intact.
Dealing with us directly, as a leading provider of Backlink Building Services, means no reseller stands between you and that network. The page on how we plan a link strategy for your budget explains the planning side, and our niche and language link service lists the other markets we cover. When your list of Uzbek searches is ready, send it to us with your site address, and we will come back with a plan for Uzbek links that fit it.

The questions that come up every time.
Should my Uzbek pages be in Latin or Cyrillic script?
It depends on who you sell to. Latin is the official script, it is what schools teach and what younger readers search in. Cyrillic Uzbek is still read widely, especially by older readers and in print. If your buyers span both groups, the safest structure is two versions on separate URLs, each with its own links in its own script. If budget allows only one, we usually start with Latin and review the searches your customers actually type before deciding on Cyrillic.
Do backlinks still matter for ranking in Uzbekistan?
Yes. Search engines weigh plenty besides links, yet for an Uzbek page links are still one of the clearest reasons to show it at all. In Uzbek, where fewer sites compete for most searches, a handful of relevant Uzbek links can separate you from rivals who have none. AI answer tools working in Uzbek behave similarly and quote sources other Uzbek sites already cite.
Can links from Russian-language sites help my Uzbek pages?
They help the domain in general, and they are exactly right for your Russian pages. For the Uzbek pages they are a weak substitute, because the language and the anchor text do not match the page. We build each language's profile from sites written in that language, so the Russian and Uzbek versions each look like they belong to their own audience.
Do I need a .uz domain to rank in Uzbekistan?
No. A .uz domain is a strong signal that a site is for Uzbekistan, but a .com with Uzbek content, correct hreflang tags and links from sites read in Uzbekistan can rank well too. The right choice depends on whether you sell only in Uzbekistan or across several countries. We look at that before recommending a domain, and we never recommend moving one without a redirect plan.
Who writes the articles your links appear in?
Native Uzbek authors, in the script and register the outlet uses. Machine translations are easy to spot, and editors at outlets worth being on turn them down. Every article is written to be worth reading without the link, which is what gets it published and what keeps it standing when search engines review links more strictly.
How quickly will Uzbek links show results?
Nobody honest can give you a date. Links are found and weighed over weeks and months, and how fast they move a page depends on your competition and on the rest of the site. Our turnaround and reporting schedule are still being set and will be stated in your plan before any work starts.
Ask yours. The form reaches the people who would be doing the work.
